Elimination of Microorganisms infecting non- Immune cell

Hello everyone,
Today I will be discussing the third strategy to fight against Microorganism, "Elimination of microorganisms Infecting non-Immune cells" mainly viruses

virus is a small infectious agent that replicates only inside the living cells of other organisms. Viruses can infect all types of life forms, from animals and plants to microorganisms, including bacteria and archaea. Viruses are by far the most abundant biological entities on Earth and they outnumber all the others put together. They infect all types of cellular life including animals, plants, bacteria and fungiHowever, different types of viruses can infect only a limited range of hosts and many are species-specific.Examples of common human diseases caused by viruses include the common cold, influenza, chickenpox, and cold sores. Many serious diseases such as Ebola virus diseaseAIDSavian influenza, and SARS are caused by viruses.

Every time you get viral infection , say influenza (flu), the virus invades certain cells of your body . Once inside , the virus subverts the metabolism of cell to make more viruses.the virus s work inside of your cell  safe from any antibodies that might be present in blood, lymph, and secretions.

In most viral infections, the immune system has the opportunity of attacking viral particles in some stages of the infection (before viruses enter cells or when they are liberated after their replication). It may also  take place in infected cells during the protein production or viral assembling phase. During these stages, antigens that appear in the membrane of the infected cell can activate the immune response. Infection can last for long periods of time without the presence of any viral  particles or surface antigens being expressed in the membrane of  infected cells. When this happens, the immune system is unable to fight the infection, because there are not viral peptides to flag its presence. But eventually infection is reactivated (causes are not yet well known) and new infectious virions are liberated.

During intracellular replication virus proteins appear on the surface of infected cell. A second subset of T-cell Cytotoxic T-Cells (CD8)recognize these viruses antigens and secrete cytotoxic molecules which kill the infected cells. Also the main role of Cytotoxic T-Cells is to monitor all the cells of the body , ready to destroy ant that express foreign antigen fragments in their Class I molecule.
