Cranial nerves mnemonic

Hello readers..
As you maybe knowing these days I learn a lot about brain and nervous co-ordination.
I finished up with central and now I am doing peripheral.
Peripheral nervous system is made up of nerves.
Two types:

  • Cranial nerves
  • Spinal nerves
Today we will be talking about cranial nerves.

These are the nerves that either arise from the brain or enter into the brain.
We have 12 pairs of cranial nerves and all of them arise from brain stem except I and II.
Mid-brain gives rise to III and IV nerve.
Pons varolli gives rise to V, VI VII and VIII nerve.
Medulla oblongata gives rise to IX, X, XI and XII nerve.
Here are the nerves:
  1. Olfactory
  2. Optic
  3. Occulomotor
  4. Pathetic (Trochlear).
  5. Trigeminal
  6. Abducens
  7. Facial
  8. Auditory (Vestibulocochlear)
  9. Glossopharyngeal
  10. Vagus
  11. Spinal Accessory
  12. Hypoglossal
I do have a mnemonic for this one but I personally prefer that remembering them number-wise will do you a lot good.
The mnemonic I made is here :
On the Occasion Of Party and Treats The Attractive Faces Are Glossy Visitors, Shining and Happy.
That's all.
Hope this helps.
Let's learn them with a high six.
