Entry of viruses through different sites

Hello readers..
I hope you all are doing well.
Today we will be discussing something entry sites of potent viruses.
So the first one is - Respiratory tract.
This is often the most important and common portal of entry for viruses. Some of them multiply locally to cause silent local infection which is carried by lymphatic system where more multiplication occurs. Small pox and chickenpox are examples of systemic infections. Influenza and rhinoviruses produces local infections.

Alimentary tract
Most of the viruses are ineffective to establish an infection in alimentary tract owing to the gastric acidity. Some viruses that are able to infect the alimentary canal are given in the mnemonic.

Skin
Most viruses entering through the skin cause local lesions. skin lesion of exanthematous viral lesions are secondary to systemic infections. Virsues gain entry into skin through abrasions, insect or animal bites or injections. Rabies virus enters into the skin by animal bites but travels along the nerves to the spinal cord and brains.

Congenital route
This infection may occur anytime between the development to birth. This may lead to fetal maldevelopment, death or abortion.

Below is the mnemonic I created to remember some examples of viruses entering through different routes which may help us to fetch some extra points in our answers :D

Hope this helps you too.

Let's memorize this with our mnemonic. But first Let's hit it by our high six.
